Intent behind the deck

The Spranki Clinical deck has been crafted with strong intent and purpose. It focuses on clinical medicine so it is relevant for any clinical exams in the UK. Nick started the creation of the deck, with an already large amount of experience. As we complete more of the deck, the quality of the cards improve even more. Ed helps make the anki cards and we both look over each others cards to try ensure maximum quality.

We have decided the best labelling/tagging system is simply by condition for each topic. The conditions are selected using the UKMLA content map and each condition is based off UK guidelines. UKMLA questions have to go through rigorous processes for a question to be accepted, the most important aspect is that it must follow guidelines. That is why we have chosen this approach. *disclaimer: This deck is NOT to be used for clinical practice, it is provided for learning and exam purpose only.

We explain the best way to use the deck in the "How to Use Anki" section.

UK medical school finals deck:

This deck was created by ZidaneZombie who is a 5th year medical student at Newcastle. He created this deck to help his studies in his final year of medical school. It prioritises clinical conditions and he plans to incorporate the ZeroToFinals deck. The deck differs because it uses cloze overlapper note types. This is a similar concept but different to the Spranki deck, which uses cloze deletion (fill in the gap) note types.

Flashfinals deck:

This deck was created by Dr Stefan Ebmeier. The Flashfinals deck stands out for its comprehensive coverage. Despite its strengths, it relies on basic note types, which may not leverage the full potential of Anki learning. Additionally, the content may not reflect the latest clinical guidelines and information, as it is outdated.
